Matthias knocks once before nudging the door open to lean against the frame, dressed all in black.
"Honey~ I'm home~"
Of course he smiles at the sight of the guy, genuinely pleased that Seong texted him. He's still a new one that Matthias is getting to know so he's more than pleased to spend more time with him.
"I don't remember if I asked you before, do you like games? Like board games, card games, dominos, stuff like that? Even video games, but I'm kinda shit at them." It would give them something to do before the food arrived — which Matthias did have delivered to Seong's apartment. And he let the doorman know so they'd let the delivery in. Matthias chose this building specifically so people he wronged couldn't get easy access to him.
"We've got like 30 minutes for the food to get here."
As soon as Seong hears the knock on the door, he hops off of his bed, shoving his phone into his pocket and heading out to greet Matthias. The moment he lays eyes on the other, Seong presses his lips together and looks down at himself. In contrast to the nice clothing that Matthias has on, Seong is wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt, both at least two sizes too big for him. Granted, Seong didn't think (though he's hoped) he'd be seeing anyone tonight so he went for comfort over style, but still. Matthias is making him feel a little under dressed in his own apartment. Without really thinking, he covers his mid-section with his arms as though to hide what he's wearing from Matthias. He does look back at Matthias and return the smile, though. Despite how awkward he's feeling.
"You didn't ask before, no. We haven't really had the chance to talk about much of anything yet." While it's not unheard of, Seong's never really made it a habit of using sex to agree to a relationship with someone. But his past relationships have all fallen apart in spectacular fashion, and filling him with anger and resentment. Maybe this change in the beginning of the relationship is the start of something more positive and more solid.
"I do like games, though. Mostly board games and card games. Something like dominoes, I could never get the hang of, and video games frustrate me too much." Seong takes a step back, a silent invitation to actually enter the apartment. Come in and hopefully stay a while. Should he offer to show Matthias around? It's not as though the layout of the apartment is probably any different, just the contents. Most of which, in this case, belong to Seong's roommate. She was in this place long before him. But her work schedule changed, having here away from home more often and she didn't like leaving the place for such long stretches of time, so she decided to take in a roommate. And Seong couldn't afford to live alone. That was Seong's criteria for a place to live: Any place with at least one roommate to split the cost of living with.
Seong awkwardly presses his lips together again then looks over his shoulder toward the interior of the apartment. "Um, do you wanna wait in the living room for our food?" Sit down and get to know each other? Grab a board game, since Matthias asked about them? Start a movie? Cuddle? Make out? Fuck on the couch until there's a knock on the door signalling the arrival of their food? What do they do now? What kind of couple are they?
Not only did Matthias want to come in, he wants to spend some time getting to know Seong a little better. Sure, sex in the coffee shop bathroom was thrilling (and satisfying!), but he did say he'd be with Seong now. So, he's going to lean into it. Boyfriend stuff and all. He can taste the way the guy's starved for affection. It's the most obvious crack into which to pour everything Matthias wants to offer to fill him up. Maybe make him overflow. Who knows?
Stepping in, he pauses to close and lock the door behind him. That bold seeming to echo as Matthias turned it. Safety first, even though this building is relatively secure. Not like a thousand locks like that could keep something like Matthias out. But Matthias is confident that he's probably the only non-human person in the building. He strides across the room in a few easy steps — one of the great perks of being 80% leg — and reaches out to sling his arm around Seong's shoulders.
"What do you prefer? A game or maybe some TV? Something we can tune out when the food gets here." And possibly after if things end up getting a little frisky. Then, he affects a somewhat uncertain look, letting something that looks like hopefulness slip into his features. "Um, did you want me to stay the night?"
There's an obvious hopefulness that seems to take over Seong's features when Matthias approaches him, though he tenses up when the arm gets around his shoulders. This is what he'd wanted. It's what he'd hoped for when he watched Matthias closing in on him. Yet he's entirely too unused to a boyfriend acting like a boyfriend with him. Oh, it isn't as though a boyfriend never treated him like a boyfriend, it just feels like a rare occurrence, especially when no one was watching. Public gestures, so people would know how much that particular boy loved Seong. Sex was the only thing that remained private. Though considering the coffee shop bathroom, Seong's wondering if maybe they couldn't have made that a little more public sometimes too? No. No he could never have suggested something like that.
Almost experimentally, Seong reaches out to wrap an arm around Matthias too, arm stretching across the middle of his back, hand hooking onto his side. It's all very loosely done though, hand practically hovering over Matthias' side and arm barely touching his back. Seong is ready to undo this whole touching Matthias thing at a moment's notice. He's ready to pull his arm back should Matthias show any indication that he doesn't want it there. Despite the awkward way he's holding his arm, though, he does relax a little against Matthias' side. He's so warm and Seong's usually pretty cold. It feels so nice against him.
"Mm maybe some TV. It's not that big of a deal if that gets interrupted for food." Not that a game would be a big deal either, it just feels like TV would be less so. Besides, it would be easier to sit nearer to Matthias if they're watching television together. Then Matthias goes and says something that catches Seong off guard and all he can do for the first few seconds is look up at him and blink a little blankly. "Well Kiera is supposed to be gone for at least the rest of the night so... I wouldn't mind you staying."
Oh, that understated hopefulness just feeds Matthias' want to get all up in Seong's space. As if he isn't there already. He gives Seong a little tug to encourage him closer. They've already been physically intimate so there's no need for hesitance now. He pulls Seong flush against his side, silently encourage him to touch in return. In many way, Matthias is very feline. He wants attention, even affection, on his terms. Right now his terms are simply 'whatever Seong's comfy with.' He'll be content for tonight if he can get Seong to snuggle without as much hesitance.
"Sounds good," he purrs, giving another little tug toward the couch so they can get more comfortable.
Matthias is, indeed, very warm. To most baseline humans, his skin feels feverish, the heat simply rolling off him even through his clothes. He'll likely shed his blazer before they get too comfy together. And probably his shoes. And maybe more depending on how the night goes.
"I can sleep out here on the couch if you don't want to sleep together," he offers, oh-so-helpfully. Even though he's pretty sure Seong will want to share his bed with him. "I don't like the thought of you being alone."
Seong is often much the same in that he only wants attention and affection on his terms from people he's deemed worthy of giving it to him. That often leaves him feeling terribly lonely and starved for both attention and affection. The number of people he's decided are worth getting any attention from are few are far between. Fewer than even the number of partners he's had in the past, but that's another matter entirely. Seong's current boyfriend, however, is worth it to him so far. Though it could just as easily change, right now Seong wants so much of Matthias' attention. He wants continuous physical contact with Matthias. That day in the coffee shop made him realize just how good another person can feel.
So he makes actual contact with Matthias. He more firmly wraps his arm around Matthias and leans more into his side. This is his boyfriend. He can do things like this.
"Well, my bed is big enough for the both of us..."
Standing before the couch, Seong steps around in front of Matthias. For a few seconds, he looks everywhere but at the other, then he grabs hold of Matthias' blazer and stands on his toes, pressing a soft kiss to his lips before dropping back down then having a seat on the couch, grinning to himself. He feels like a school kid with a crush. A crush on his own boyfriend.
Adorable! Matthias is so tickled! Seong seems a little shy at times, uncertain at others. And then he does something like that and looks positively giddy. For a second or two, Matthias stares at him, smiling but wide-eyed. After that? He flops down right beside Seong, shifting to snuggle up at the man's side.
His focus is completely on Seong and nothing else when he asks, "What do you want to watch?" It's clear from the brightness in those dark eyes that whatever Seong chooses will be fine with him. Honestly, unless Seong is super into whatever he puts on TV, Matthias won't be paying much attention.
When Matthias sits and snuggles up to him, Seong doesn’t hesitate to lean into him this time, to sort of curl himself into Matthias’ side. Honestly, if they just did this the entire time while waiting for their food, Seong would probably be satisfied. And right up until Matthias asks about what to watch, Seong had forgotten this wasn’t actually the plan. He’d completely forgotten that they had intended to at least turn the TV on while sitting here and waiting.
Seong shifts and twists around to grab the remote from the back of the couch, the movement someone managing to push him closer to Matthias (as intended). “Mm I don’t really have anything in mind. Let’s see if there’s anything interesting on.” Turning on the television, he begins to flip through the channels. “Tell me if you see anything you like.” Truth be told, it doesn’t matter what they settle on because Seong has little intention of playing attention to the TV. It’s why he chose it. Games require at least some of his focus but television he can tune out and tune his entire focus to Matthias.
Oh no~! Anything but closer! Don't mind Matthias taking advantage of Seong moving to snake both arms around him: one over his shoulders and other draped over his stomach. Snuggling up like this would be just fine with Matthias, too. But some background noise won't hurt.
"Anything but news," he quips, nestling even closer. Is there even air between them at this point? If so, not much.
Seong seems to melt into Matthias' arms, and he lays a hand on the one across his middle. He pulls his knees up a little, sort of resting his legs against Matthias'. Settling into a comfortable position against him. Accepting that maybe their relationship does allow for a more 'boyfriends' type experience, that maybe their relationship really is more than sex. Matthias accepted his text and want to talk. Matthias came over to keep him company. He's getting them food and spending the night. There's some comfy snuggling.
They're real boyfriends, aren't they?
"I don't watch the news," Seong murmurs, laying his head against his boyfriend. If there is any air between them, it's not long for this world.
"I'm almost always cold so this is nice. You feel good. Like a blanket."
So maybe they started things off in a more non-traditional matter (who decides that stuff, anyway?), but Matthias is definitely here to give and get the boyfriend experience. He wonders why people have so many unspoken rules and very well-known taboos about sex. Who cares if people are fucking before they're some sort of ~official~ couple? What makes something an ~official~ relationship anyway? Weird human rules of engagement, he supposes.
But he can't help a light laugh at Seong's comment. "Fresh out of the dryer, I imagine," he adds. "And probably more talkative than any other blanket you have." He definitely doesn't mind being Seong's personal blanket. Matthias is a tactile thing and being physically close is something he relishes. "Does that make you my pillow?"
