Jay, likewise, takes up a great deal of space in Seung's mind. Unlike Jay, though, he wasn't the one hurt by leaving how he did. Okay, maybe it hurt a little, but it definitely hurt Jay more. Not only did Seung up and leave, he never really gave any explanation. At least Seung had some idea of why he left. (But did he really until he ran into Jay in the coffee shop and it all came crashing over him?)

Seung's been at the party since it began. Since the host some of the hosts are in his study group, he didn't feel weird showing up early on. It also gives him a chance to stake out a place to best watch the door. Even waiting for Jay, he's completely unprepared when Jay walks in dressed like that. He may not look it in clothes, but Jay's lithe and lean, not just thin. You'd think knowing that body as well as Seung does that the mere site of so much it wouldn't leave him breathless.

And yet.

He watches the girl wander off with Jay's coat before beginning the walk over to greet him. With his offering of beer and a soft smile. Maybe some large part of him is hoping Jay won't want to stay for long. They can find some other party or a bar or... head back to one of their own apartments.

"You must be cold."

That's almost something they could connect on, being hurt by Seung leaving. Almost. But as the person who was left behind, it's hard to feel any real sympathy for the perfect who left. Understandable, right? Jay was devastated when he woke up that one morning to find Seung gone with no idea why. Was Seung just done with him? Had he done something wrong? He blamed himself for a long time. He still does sometimes. Those tend to marked by times when Jay is a little nastier to Seung than he means to be.

"Feeling kind of hot, actually."

Taking the beer and offering a smile of his own, Jay looks Seung up and down. Now that he's closer, he can really get a good look at what, exactly, Seung is wearing. The costume seems completely tasteless, especially when meeting with his jilted ex (ex? Ex friends with benefits, ex fuck buddies, ex lovers, ex... something else maybe?) and whoever else at this party he might have slept with, but Jay laughs at it anyway. He actually laughs quite a bit at it. Well played.

It's an honest costume, right? Seung's keen on one nighters with people who probably won't see him again. Who, hopefully, won't want anything if he does see them again. Jay is the reason for that rule in Seung's life. Jay became too much, too important, more than just a fun time. Now that he's back in Seung's life... too much, too important, more than just a fun time sounds appealing. It sounds like exactly what Seung wants. Because nothing and no one else has compared in all the time between leaving Jay in Japan and meeting him again in New York.

Now he can't help the way his eyes flick over Jay. Oh, he remembers every inch of him. Every curve, every plane, ever place he touched that made Jay's toes curl. This is punishment. And he definitely deserves it.

"Looking hot, too," he mused, as if Jay didn't know. As if Jay didn't know he thinks so. He lifts his chin toward one of the people hosting this part. "You've definitely got one of the host's attention. Maybe you'll have a fun night after all."
