A kiss! In public no less! Vincent feels his cheeks getting warm but he fights his natural urge to duck his head. He does remember to drop his arm back to his side then Rai begins walking, Vincent happily falling in step with him. Maybe there's something Rai wants to see or something he wants to show Vincent? Or maybe he just wants to wander. That would be fine too.

"I've been here most of the day. My best friend and I spent the day together checking out things we might've been too scared to see on our own."

It's almost comical sitting there, watching Hayun meander around before he noticed Yohan sitting there. Good thing he let the bodyguards know ahead of time that he'd be there. It's just as comical the way Hayun practically launches himself at Yohan and clings to him with all the tenacity of a determined octopus.

"Surprise~" is his simple answer to the question. He's careful to set Hayun's book down before wrapping his arm like an equally determined octopus around Hayun. He smiles so fondly at Hayun, finally reaching up to brush his fingers through the boy's hair. "You look adorable. I wanted to see for myself."

Perhaps it's that he's growing rather accustomed to the people who are a constant presence in Yohan's life becoming a constant presence in his own, but he should really pay for attention to his surroundings. And maybe ask himself a few more questions about a light that was on when he was sure he turned it off (though it really could have just been a mistake). He's used to the bodyguards he was sent to school with, and is especially used to knowing they'll keep him safe. That doesn't mean that he doesn't look out for himself at all anymore, but he's not so hyper aware of his surroundings. They allow him to relax a little.

And if not for them, Yohan wouldn't have gotten the meandering, comical display that he just got from Hayun!

Hayun hooks his ankles together behind Yohan and presses soft kisses to the side of the man's neck before burying his face there. "It looks really good, right? It took going to a few shops but I managed to find exactly what I was looking for. And I had pictures to send you so it's not like you wouldn't have seen it," he says, words a little muffled by Yohan's skin. He sits back just after that, though, to look at Yohan with a soft smile. "I'm so glad you're here though. I missed you a lot."

Hayun releases Vincent's hand to step out in front of him to twirl and show off his costume before snatching up his friend's hand again. "You really think so? I love the colours." He reaches up with his free hand to squeeze Vincent's mushroom cap and giggles. "You look super cute too. And I vote that, if anyone asks, we totally planned this. Matching costumes."

Squeezing his hand in return, Hayun follows Vincent's line of sight toward the haunted house. He doesn't like horror movies either. He doesn't like being scared. It's such a terrible feeling. So haunted houses have never really held his interest but with Vincent, he's a little curious. Maybe it won't be so bad. "Let's try it. But first." He pulls his cellphone out of a small bag at his hip and turns the camera on, holding out in front of the two of them. "Smile!"

It's so nice hearing Hayun's voice in person, not through the phone or his tablet. There's just something intimate about it. Especially now that they're literally across the world from each other most of the time. Yohan would see Hayun more, but he doesn't want to be a distraction in the boy's studies. They text every day and talk multiple times a week, but it isn't quite the same as being in the same room.

It's definitely not the same as having Hayun draped over him, those warm lips stamping little kisses against his neck, the warmth and weight of him... Ah, even this apartment's scents make it clear that Hayun lives here. This is Hayun's space which means Yohan belongs in it. But, Yohan believes he belongs everywhere he is. There's still space dedicated to Hayun in Yohan's house, but it's haunted space. The ghost over his lover is nothing more than that.

But now he's here, with Hayun. Hayun who looks particularly lovely in his Halloween attire. Hayun who's nestled so close to him. Hayun who he misses so much he actually hates being apart. Once the boy moves back, Yohan sweeps in for a warm, lingering kiss. Just an affectionate gesture, not intended as a prelude to anything more.

"I missed you, too."

As appropriate, Vincent 'oohs' and 'ahhs' while Hayun turns. The way the lights hit the costume make it shimmer and shine even more, really bringing it to life. He ducks his head a little (as if he's tall or something) to help Hayun touch the mushroom cap. Then he laughs, bobbing his head in agreement.

"I'm cool with that. If anyone asks, these are coordinated costumes." And why wouldn't they be? A fairy and a mushroom? As if two friends have never planned costumes together. It makes perfect sense!

"Oh!" Vincent does indeed smile and leans in as close as he can. Please excuse him bumping Hayun with the mushroom cap before getting himself in the frame. "Cheeeeeeese~"

There's really nothing quite like getting to hear Yohan voice in person. He appreciates talking to him on the phone or video chatting with him, but nothing beats the non-digitized version. The real life, in person version. The version that allows him to feel Yohan's breath on his skin as he speaks, and allows him to hear the subtle shifts in his tone that simply don't come through on the phone. Best of all, it's the version that tells him that Yohan is here, right in front of him.

Once upon a time, Hayun had been prepared to go off on his own to college. He thought he would be fine with it. Off to start the next chapter of his life. He wasn't leaving anything behind but an empty home. And then he met Yohan and it became so much harder to leave. He had not only a man he deeply cared about but a whole household of people who meant the world to him. He never actually told Yohan how close he was to giving up the college of his choice just to go to school in Seoul so he could stay nearby.

At the end of every phone call, every good bye on video chat, each night when he has to stop texting, especially every time he has to let go of Yohan and allow him to go home, Hayun's heart breaks a little. And it doesn't get any easier. He thought it was supposed to get easier with time but it just gets so much harder. But he won't ask Yohan for more or longer phone calls and he won't ask him to visit more because he doesn't want to disrupt Yohan's entire life like that, nor does he want to risk falling behind on his schoolwork.

And though the infrequent visits are hard, it does make the times when he gets to see Yohan all the more special. Especially when it's entirely unexpected.

It actually feels surreal, having Yohan here and getting to be wrapped around the real, warm body of his boyfriend instead of the body pillow he sleeps with. He grew too accustomed to having Yohan next to him that he finds it difficult to sleep in a completely empty bed now. Not this time. Not tonight. Tonight he gets to sleep next to his amazing boyfriend.

When Yohan's lips touch his, Hayun practically puts his whole body into returning the kiss (even if it is just an affectionate gesture), going so far as even tightening his legs around Yohan's waist to pull himself closer. And when they part, he rests his forehead against the older man's.

"Mm I really missed that too." He's blushing. Please don't look at him. "How long are you here for? Please don't say it's just tonight."

There was a time, not all that long ago, when they would've had to make due with phone calls and emails. No texting, no video calls. What a time to be alive!

Listen, if Hayun wants that kiss to be leading into something more (which, let's be real it very likely will), it certainly can. With the way he's wrapping himself around Yohan, he's starting to think maybe his surprise visit might get more physical than he initially planned. That's nothing to complain about. It's been some time since they've been able to touch.

Maybe he could convince Hayun to keep his cute little costume on...

"I'm in town for a week," he advises, running his fingers gently through Hayun's hair. "I can stay here with you if you like. Or I can get a hotel. I wanted to see you first."

Hayun's grateful that he never really experienced a time before texting and video calls. Both things were really coming into their own by the time he was born so by the time he was old enough to have a cell phone, or to text and video chat, they were already the preferred way of communicating. Texting especially. So Hayun's never had to live without convenient ways to keep in touch with his boyfriend all the time. He's not sure what he would do otherwise.

"You're not leaving this apartment all week," he blurts out without a second thought. "I mean, like, I don't want you to get a hotel. I want you to stay here with me. Please. ...unless you find a nice hotel for us to spend the night in."

Hayun would like the kiss to lead into something more. He's been waiting patiently for the next time he saw Yohan in person, so they could kiss and something more. He hears about his classmates hooking up with a variety of partners, doing that whole experimenting in college thing and it makes him jealous. Well, not about the variety of partners part. He doesn't care about that. He has Yohan and he only wants Yohan. No he's jealous that his boyfriend isn't here for him to be physical with. Not even just sexually. But he is also a young man who has needs that touching himself while talking to Yohan just can't really do anything for.

So if it feels like Hayun is wiggling just a little more than he really needs to whenever he tries to get himself a little closer to Yohan (can he even get any closer at his point?), that's exactly what he's doing.

Well, Matthias will just have to be extra charming to ensure he gets to see just a few of Seong's warning glances at would-be suitors. It does so charm him when Seong's possessive. Does he realize there's no danger of Matthias picking another over him (at present)? Maybe there is. He did tell Seong the day they officially met that he's walk away from whomever he was with at the time for him. In his defense, Matthias was already halfway out that door.

"I guess you'll just have to stay very close, then, hm?"

The problem (depending on how one looks at it) is that Seong doesn't realize that. He doesn't know that he's in no real danger of losing Matthias to someone else right now. Matthias walked away from someone else for him, so why wouldn't he walk away from him for someone else? It's only a matter of time, right? But that doesn't mean Seong has to make it easy for anyone trying to swoop in and take Matthias before their time together has run its course. He's never done this for anyone before but he's not going down without a fight.

"Attached at the hip, all night."

Snake's a pretty laid back guy. He doesn't like making big to-dos of things, be they plans, events, or holidays. But this year, he kind of wants to share the fun of Halloween with his new friend Aqua. With all that childlike wonder, it seems like something he'd like. So Snake arranges to meet up with him in a trick-or-treating friendly neighborhood. And, in the highly likely event that Aqua doesn't show up in a costume, he brought two sheets with holes cut out for eyes.

Seokyoon meant well. He hoped that maybe taking Jongwoo out, that maybe pushing him just a little outside of his comfort zone would help. If only he'd known how wrong that thought was.

At least the one perk of being lost in a corn maze is that it's corn. Seokyoon can literally push through the stalks, ignoring the paths entirely in the search for his friend. If Jongwoo disappears here, in a strange place that's so far removed from where they live... how long might it be before he wanders home?

The downfall of the corn maze? It's corn and corn leaves cut. "Jongwoo? Jongwoo!? Where are you?" If/when he finds his friend, there will be more than a few bloodied clices across his cheeks and his bare hands.

The 'oohs' and 'ahhs' draw a whole host of delighted giggles out of Hayun that only continue when he squeezes the soft mushroom cap. Oh! A mushroom cap! A cap like a hat! Oh that's fun. "I bet this would make a great pillow if you decide you want to lay down and relax for a bit while we're out."

Why wouldn't they be in coordinating costumes? Why couldn't they be? Groups often pick a theme for dressing up all the time. So why not them too? Though isn't it just as fun to tell everyone that they did this purely by accident? They're just such close friends that they're connected. They think the same. Maybe that's why they've gotten so close!

Hayun smiles brightly and snaps a few photos, followed by a few more when he crouches down to duck under the little mushroom cap. "Okay, one sec." He selects a handful of his favourite pictures to send to Vincent before tucking his phone away once more. "Okay! I'm ready. Let's go." He reaches out for Vincent's hand again, threading their fingers together. "Please don't let go, okay?"

It was a good idea in theory. It might've worked well with someone else. Probably would've worked with someone else. It's probably difficult to know exactly what to do with Jongwoo or for him when Seokyoon knows so very little about the trauma he's suffered. How can he be expected to know what it is that might trigger Jongwoo?

This was such a bad idea.

It all happened so fast. One moment, a man was bursting through the corn, and the next, Jongwoo was driving a knife into his chest again and again. Over and over and over and- Likely a father and husband, looking for the family he'd been separated from. He startled the already on edge and panicked Jongwoo, and Jongwoo lashed out. Jongwoo attacked the perceived threat. The knife was in his hand so quickly (he had a knife with him. He always has a knife with him. Sorry Seokyoon) and he attacked before he even registered what was happening. And now he can't stop. The man's dead but he can't stop.

Until he hears Seokyoon call out his name from somewhere nearby. Wide, crazed eyes fall to the body he's straddling, down to the knife sticking out of his chest that Jongwoo's gripping so tightly. "Stay where you are." Don't come any closer. Don't see what he's done.

Right, because 'stay where you are' in the desperate voice of the friend he's frantically been looking for never had the smallest chance of working. As soon as he heard Jongwoo, heard his voice and the tone of it, he panicked. Panicked and pushed through more of the corn until...

It's more than a gasp, but not quite a cry. It's enough for Seokyoon's eyes to go impossibly wide and round, for both hands to clasp over his mouth lest he draw more attention to them. And he stops in his tracks. Frozen, rooted the spot like his legs turned into actual lead. He couldn't move. He can barely breathe.

So much blood!

It feels like solid minutes before Seokyoon can think. Surely something happened and Jongwoo was somehow provoked? But how could they argue self-defense when, even at a glance, Seokyoon could see so much violence? He shuffles closer and leans down to grab Jongwoo's arm. Now is not the time to talk about what happened. Now is the time to get Jongwoo out of here!

"Come on," he mutters. "We have to go."

Aqua's excited. He's heard a little bit about Halloween and he's excited. A night of meeting new people and delicious treats and children in cute costumes. They all get to be like Aqua for the night! Well, the opposite of Aqua, to be a little more accurate. They put on their cute, colourful pelts for a short time to become something different than they normally are, and then shed them at the end of the night to become human again. It's like a temporary connection he has to the general public for a night. He really likes that.

His excitement and over all lack of a sense of timing means that Aqua arrives a little early. When Snake arrives, Aqua is sitting on the edge of someone's lawn (not in costume) and watching all of the trick-or-treaters pass by with just the brightest smile on his face, waving to a few and chatting with others. Mostly just to comment on how cute they look, since he doesn't want to keep them from their treat-focused goal for the evening.

A wicked little smile pulls at his lips and Matthias raised his brows at Seong's word choice.

"My favorite place to be attached to you," he comments.

He likes that Seong is clingy when they're together. He likes that Seong reminds him that he's clingy without being annoying about it when they're apart. Matthias likes reminding Seong that Seong is his, too. He enjoys meeting Seong's intensity.

"We're starting just up the block. It's a nice house so I'm sure we'll find a fun little corner to hide in."

He had a feeling Hayun would want him to stay, for tonight at least. That's why he didn't get a hotel, yet. Why his brought in his suitcase with his things from the car. He doesn't have any business here, so the visit is solely to spend what time Hayun can afford to spare with his lover. It also means staying in Hayun's apartment won't be a problem. For him. Siwoo and company might need to get a hotel.

All that wiggling? Doesn't go unnoticed. He runs his hands over Hayun's lovely face, down the sides of his neck, over his shoulders, veering to his sides, only to come to rest on his hips. And give them a very deliberate jerk forward to rub Hayun against himself.

"I can stay here all week," he assures. "But right now, I just want to ask you to get your underwear off."

He should have assumed that Hayun would want him to stay here for the entire week, though it's understandable that he didn't. Hayun is trying to focus on his schooling and having Yohan in his space makes doing that a little more difficult. Which means that this is going to be a very interesting week. At least he'll have an amazing subject for any photo related assignments for the next week. And an excellent subject for his own photo collection.

Siwoo and the others, however, may need a hotel. As much as he adores Siwoo and everyone else, he doesn't really have room for too many more. That and he wants to be as alone with Yohan as he can get for much of the time that he's here.

Hayun's eyes fall closed and he chews on his bottom lip as those hands move over him. He missed this. He missed Yohan's hands (warm, skilled hands that he loves so much. Making him feel safe. Making him feel good) and the way they feel on him. His face, his body. His eyes snap open and he gasps in surprise (and maybe something other than surprise) when Yohan jerks him forward. His face almost instantly flushes a soft pink.

"Get out of my- Oh. Right now." His face flushes a little more (will he ever get used to Yohan being so direct? He actually hopes not, truthfully) and he pushes Yohan's hands off of his hips so he can climb to his feet. He reaches up under the skirt of his costume and tugs his underwear down, kicked them off to the side. Then he turns around and reaches over his shoulder to point to the zipper on his back. "Can you help me with that?" One of his assigned bodyguards had to help him zip it up.

That wicked little smile earns Matthias a smirk in return. Seong knows exactly what he said. He knows how it was worded and therefore how it came across. Exactly how he meant it to.

"My favourite place to be attached to you too."

Seong tries really hard to keep his clinginess from being too overbearing. He tries really hard to not be that person. It's a delicate balance. Being clingy as a way to show Matthias how important he is to him, how much he wants and needs to be near him. How much he appreciates the other's company. And it's a way to show others that Matthias is taken. It's a way to let everyone know that Matthias is his boyfriend. He worries no one would believe it otherwise.

"Finding corners to hide in with you is gonna be a lot of fun. This has good potential for the best Halloween, you know." He tips his head up to press a quick kiss to Matthias' cheek. "Okay, let's get to our first party."

Video calls and imagination are all fine and good, but nothing beats having Hayun in his arms. Nothing's better than the real Hayun to kiss and touch. Nothing's better than how shy he still gets after all this time. Yohan loves it when he averts his eyes, when his cheeks go pink. After all this time. It's quite endearing.

"No. I want you to leave that on."

Video calls and imagination can only take them so far. Even if he closes his eyes and listens only to the sound of Yohan's voice, Hayun is still clearly being touched by his own hand. He's become far too familiar with the feeling of Yohan's hands for his imagination to really make much ground. He knows all of Yohan too well. It works when it's all they have, but nothing can compare to this.

Letting his hand drop back to his side, Hayun faces the front again, away from Yohan. Sorry but he doesn't get to see Hayun's face every time he starts to blush. He can probably still the way his ears are turning a little red through his hair though. "Really? Okay. I can leave it on." A few deep, calming breaths and then he turns to look down at Yohan, holding out his hands as though he's at all strong enough to help Yohan up and only his feet. "Your turn." Yohan has to lose at least a bit of clothing too.

That's almost something they could connect on, being hurt by Seung leaving. Almost. But as the person who was left behind, it's hard to feel any real sympathy for the perfect who left. Understandable, right? Jay was devastated when he woke up that one morning to find Seung gone with no idea why. Was Seung just done with him? Had he done something wrong? He blamed himself for a long time. He still does sometimes. Those tend to marked by times when Jay is a little nastier to Seung than he means to be.

"Feeling kind of hot, actually."

Taking the beer and offering a smile of his own, Jay looks Seung up and down. Now that he's closer, he can really get a good look at what, exactly, Seung is wearing. The costume seems completely tasteless, especially when meeting with his jilted ex (ex? Ex friends with benefits, ex fuck buddies, ex lovers, ex... something else maybe?) and whoever else at this party he might have slept with, but Jay laughs at it anyway. He actually laughs quite a bit at it. Well played.

Yohan's only in pajamas, so losing some clothing won't be hard. He stands up, moving very near to Hayun, hungry eyes on him the whole time. Deft fingers pluck each button of his nightshirt open, a fluid roll of his shoulders sends it slithering over his arms to the floor. Then he hooks his thumbs into the waist of his pajama pants and pushes them down, kicking them to the side.

"Better?"
