Galen thinks for a moment, a thoughtful look. She's not opposed to burgers but it's generally not a go-to for her. But she's heard a few places mentioned that are better than the usual fast food fare.

"I know a quote-unquote gourmet burger place. It's only about a twenty minute drive from here. We can go tonight if you want. It's not the sort of place that requires a reservation."

Ahn generally prefers fried chicken over burgers as far as fast food style meals go, but they've been talking about them and now he wants one. The power of suggestion when it comes to food is a wild thing. He's the kind of person advertisers dream about. But mostly when it comes to food. Especially when it comes to food in the middle of the night.

"Well, I didn't really have much planned tonight except for maybe going back to the morgue and getting handsy with some corpses, but getting quote-unquote gourmet burgers with my absolute favourite person sounds a lot better. So let's do it. Let's go tonight."

"It's a nice place. Nice as is in good food, not nice as in fancy. I'm told they have good drinks." Since Galen usually drives herself places, she doesn't often drink while she out. Safety first. "We can go from here or I can pick you up later after work."

"Maaaaybe I phrased it that way because you have the context from knowing me," he says in a sing-song way, reaching out with his index finger as if to poke the end of her nose, though he stops just short for obvious reasons. He actually tries to be mindful of what he says in mixed company. Levels of success may vary, but he tries.

"Well, since it's food nice and not fancy nice, let's go from here." Fancy nice would've meant going home and putting on something a little nicer. It's not that he's badly dressed right now, but his current clothes aren't really the 'eating dinner at a fancy place' sort.
