"Mmmmhm," Rai repeats, drawing out the sound a little more this time. Eyes starting to wander over Seung's face, Rai takes in that half smile first before taking in the rest of it. The rest of the world seems to fall away for a time as he fully focuses on the young man beneath him. The chatter of the party goers, the crackling of the fire, the ocean waves, it all becomes meaningless background noise. It's all perfectly inconsequential in the face of the human Rai intends to spend at least the next few hours with, if not the whole night.

"Mmm I don't think a ride'll be necessary just yet. I'm not far from here."

Even better. A car ride might ruin the mood a little rain, night air, and a walk with a handsome companion will set. It's all so relaxed, so easy. Just how Seung likes it. Simple. Nothing complicated.

"You just keep getting better and better," he muses, clearly pleased despite his subdued tone. "I hope I didn't actually fall asleep here and dream you up."

His eyes fall closed once again, just for a few seconds. Longer than a blink but not too very long lest Rai slip away when Seung's not looking. He's had a bit to drink (not unusual when he does opt to go out) so the thought that maybe Rai's a figment of his imagination seems more reasonable than it normally would. But when he opens his eyes and Rai's face is still hovering over him, he smiles once more, this time in relief.

"Shall we get a head start on the rain?"

Though sitting in the backseat of a dark vehicle with a pretty young man does have a certain appeal, walking through the rain to his place on this otherwise beautiful night sounds so much nicer. A continuation of the mood and tone that's already been set instead of risking it coming to an abrupt end once they get into a car. Besides, the open air has a certain allure to someone like him.

"I can assure you that I'm very real." Rai shifts his weight to one hand so he can lightly run the backs of his fingers down the side of Seung's neck. "Do I feel like a dream?"

Rai's eyes don't leave Seung's face when he closes his. He admires the young man's features in the beautiful firelight. If only he could've driven everyone else off while keeping the fire going so he and Seung could've spent the night right here in the warm glow.

If things had played out differently, perhaps. But then, he'd probably be standing over someone else right now.

"Let's go."

"Dreams always seem real when they're happening," he offers back. There's nothing contrary in his tone, though. It's soft and matter-of-fact. Seung's not here to argue. "Even if you're a dream, it's a very nice dream," he adds with a little note of a purr. A little shivers runs down his spine at Rai's touch.

That 'let's go' is all Seung needs to find the energy to pull himself from his chair. The warmth of the fire is pleasant, but the promise of the warmth of another body against his is even more appealing. He holds onto this now empty cup until they pass one of the waste bins near the the party, where he drops it. Once his hand is free, he uses it to take hold of Rai's arm while they walk.

"I love the beach," he muses as they walk away from it. "It's so relaxing."

"Dreams can't make you feel the way that I can."

Rai lets his hand drop away from Seung and takes a step back to let him get up out of the chair, which also allows him to get his first proper look at Seung. Just as attractive as he thought, especially with the firelight flickering and glowing behind him. Almost makes Rai wish he had a fireplace. Seung would look stunning stretched out in front of it with the warm glow on his bare skin. Something to consider for the future.

The party fades into the distance as Rai leads them along the beach, taking a longer route to get them to the main road. They'll still get to his place even if they take the scenic route. This just ensures that Seung gets his walk in the rain before they get to their warm, dry destination. Besides, they have all night.

"I've always had a bit of a fondness for the beach, myself." Though his reasons are entirely different from Seung's. From everyone else's, really. "It calls to me in a way that few other places do."

Rai's definitely right about that. No dream ever feels like another person can. An imagined memory of heat and delight is still a pale comparison to the real thing. Rai seems very real. He looks and sounds and, so far, feels real. All good things as far as Seung is concerned.

For part of the walk, he keeps his eyes forward, watching shadows flicker until they're enveloped by darkness when they get further and further from the bonfire. Then he turns to look at Rai, to admire the profile he can barely make out in the night.

"I don't think I've ever experienced anything like that," he admits.
