Jun's parents are in town. Not to see Jun, of course. They're here on business. The chances of them actually travelling to the other side of the globe just to see their own son are slim to none. The fact that they ended up seeing him at all, Jun attributes to the fact that where he's living belongs to them. They wouldn't have chosen to go there for him but rather because they own a place there so why would they spring for a hotel? They not so vaguely hinted at the fact that they'd prefer it if maybe Jun got a hotel room and leave the apartment to them for the duration of their stay.
So Jun left. He didn't bother taking the time to pack anything to take with him, nor did he make sure to prepare accommodations for himself. He grabbed his cell phone and wallet as well as a jacket and then he left. When he got outside and hailed a cab, the Denny's near Dal's place wasn't necessarily where he intended to go but it's where he ended up. He doesn't even considering stepping inside but rather walks right past it, pulling out his cell phone and shooting off a quick text to Dal. If he's not at home, then Jun will double back and sit in the warm Denny's while he actually looks for an alternate place to stay tonight. He probably shouldn't be foisting himself on his friend like this but what's done is done. The text is sent and Jun's already almost to the Chinese place.
Jun stands waiting for Dal with his hands in his pockets, a dark expression on his face as he stares down at the snow in front of him. That is, until he hears approaching footsteps crunching in the snow. He slaps a bright smile over the darker expression when he looks up and sees his dear friend. He shakes his head to shake loose some of the snow that's started to accumulate on his hair before trotting over to Dal.
