(( If only it would've looked less suspicious for him to take his shoes off first. Oh well. He can get another pair from the local store. Even though has asked, it's still startling when the world tips out under him. It's probably shockingly funny to those who witness his graceless flail as he falls into the cold pool water.

Ah, but it's just want he needed. The sudden shock of cold is more than enough to chill the heat that was threatening to spread through his blood. Once he surfaces, Emmanuel shakes his head, gasps in a breath, and rubs the water from his eyes. When his vision's cleared, he nods subtly in thanks to Osiris before climbing out. ))

[This is definitely the most fun that any non-family residents of the hotel have ever seen Osiris have. He bursts out laughing anew when Emmanuel strides calmly out of the pool like a cat trying to hide the fact that it just did something undignified, and it takes all of his restraint to keep from throwing his arms around Emmanuel in an embrace of pure, childlike affection.]

I'm so sorry... but doesn't this mean... [Realization hits and Osiris is almost giggling at this point.] ... that now you'll have to stay out here until your clothing dries?

(( Dripping, soaking wet through the hotel. ))

[Yeah, they're well and truly waterlogged. Even barefoot would be better.]

(( How dare he be so considerate? It actually stops Emmanuel in his tracks. He knows Osiris is a kind soul, but something so mundane as offering to replace his shoes... Why is that the thing that strikes him? ))
