On the second floor is a celestial themed bar and lounge for drinks and relaxing. There's a live piano player in there somewhere. No one's sure where.

[No one can tell David that there isn't action happening in this hotel. People are starting to look at each other differently, the energies around certain twosomes is shifting, and he is defuckintermined to get in on the action. It's a daunting task when he's one of the very few humans in this place, but that's why he starts out at the bar - everyone's a better flirt and a more receptive flirtation receiver with a few drinks in them, right?

He's certainly going to have a better chance when everyone is fully dressed, which he's already discovered while visiting the outdoor pool. The bodies on these non-humans are unfairly perfect. He needs to start getting in some days at the gym.

So David cleans and dolls himself up a bit and grabs a seat at the bar, sipping at some neon-coloured drink in a martini glass as he watches people trickle in and decides who to approach.]

(( Dae-hyun happens to be in this hotel, too. He happens to be in this very strange city for a job (one others might also consider very strange). He doesn't skimp when he travels. A little taste of luxury is fun. He doesn't think he'll end up in jail any second, but the possibility of it happening is never zero. So yeah, he's going to enjoy the hell out of this luxurious hotel. Just in case tomorrow's the day he gets caught. Or the day Bank catches him... hahaha woops. Worse things than jail could await him.

He's a little more dressed up than usual for the evening. He just wants to chill at a nice bar and have a nice time. He's been there a little while when he finally grabs his drink and slips into the seat beside David. ))

Don't look, but that guy taking up a whole ass couch has been staring a hole in your direction. You should go shoot your shot, man. I mean, if that's something you're interest in.

[And here David thinks maybe the stylish guy who just sat beside him is here to chat him up - but no, apparently he's just a matchmaker. Equal parts disappointing and so hilariously forward that David almost demands to know what gave away the fact he's here to pick up guys in particular. Only the qualifier at the end of his words saves Dae-hyun from that fate.]

Nice to meet you too. [Words dripping in irony but delivered with a grin nonetheless - David is a smartass, but a (mostly) harmless one.] Gimme a sec to make this casual...

[Luckily the bartender has ducked into the back to replace an empty bottle, so David is able to crane his head this way and that pretending to look for her, and - uh, whoa.]

Are you super crazy sure it's me he was looking at?

I've been watching it for the last half an hour. I'm sure. At first I wanted some popcorn, but now it's just too much to watch you be oblivious. So, after I leave, send a drink over to him. The server will tell him it's from you. He's definitely not going to make the first move or he would've by now.

(( Cue Dae-hyun laying some cash on the bar. ))

My treat. Go get 'im.

(( And now he has to go find somewhere else in this bar to be so this guy and the other guy can at least meet without further delay. If Dae-hyun stays much longer, he may ruin the opportunity. ))

Hey, what - [David reaches after him but nope, the guy's already on his way. Hand dropping limply back onto the bar, he mutters to no one:] - what's your name?

[Well, nothing's ever been clearer than the fact that his first attractive stranger was in no way interested in him. As for the second... David can't deny that he is attractive, but there's something so intimidating about him that the idea of trying to flirt with a man like that makes him want to crawl out of his own skin. He feels like it can only end in the most catastrophic sort of disaster, like getting too drunk and throwing up in his lap or accidentally causing him grave injury.

If that would even be possible, because even though he can't quite say why, David's almost certain he's not human.

Here goes nothing, he supposes.]

Hey - hi, could you send the guy who's kinda lounging back there - yeah, him, could you take him one of whatever he's drinking and let him know it's from me? [His awkwardness earns him a pitying smile, but the bartender brings the drink over as asked. David doesn't even dare turn around and make eye contact. Your move, mystery man.]

(( Sorry, David. Dae-hyun is an International Man of Mystery™. You'll ~~probably~~ never know who he is. He doesn't even look back, just waves as he heads elsewhere to enjoy his night.

Back in David's immediate vicinity, the bartender nods and mixes up whatever high-end cocktail Lucifer's been nursing. The timing is good because the Devil's just finished his drink when the new one is brought to him. Lucifer perks up, eyebrows up first above his now round eyes. Then he hauls himself up from the couch, then climbs to his feet to sashay right over to David, slipping into the spot still warm from Dae-hyun's butt. ))

Aren't you sweet~ What's your name?

[Oh, he's really good-looking up close. Not big and buff like the gods, but this beautiful little creature with sculpted features and enough natural charisma for ten men. Here's hoping David hasn't made a terrible mistake with the help of his mystery man.]

Ah - David. Hi. [By sheer force of will, David manages to keep his smile from looking sheepish, though it's still shyer than he would've liked.] So I didn't misread that look you gave me, huh?

[He'll do this guy the favour of omitting that it was apparently a half-hour long look since David didn't even notice.]

(( David's no slouch in the looks department either. Up close it's easier to admire those dark, soulful eyes and the unique shape of his mouth. ))

Oh, you noticed? (( He's teasing, then letting his smile turn more intentionally sheepish: )) I was feeling a little shy.

(( There. Maybe David will feel less shy now. ))

I thought I may have lost my chance when that other guy sat down.

[This dude? Feeling shy? David can't help but chuckle.]

Man, you have got nothing to be shy about. [Success! There's no chance of mistaking David's words as simple reassurance - he's definitely coming on to Lucifer now that he's feeling a bit more confident.

He's not telling the truth about the first guy, though. No way. Wrinkling his nose a little, David shakes his head:]

Him? Nah, he tried it out but I'd already made up my mind who I wanted to meet tonight.
