Food boy obviously just hasn't done enough exploring. Food boy needs to broaden his horizons. He should allow Vena to show him a wonderful, new world beyond missionary with a committed partner in a dark room. Vena would have a lot of fun showing him things that would make him realize just how mundane his kinky idea of sex with the lights on really is. Sex with the lights on is perfectly vanilla.
Vena takes the bottle of water, and then tips the top of it toward Levi so he'll remove the cover from it for him as he takes another bite of the food. "Pleased about what? That I wore out an already exhausted old man or that I'm now free of him for the next several hours?"
"The latter." He's actually surprised it took as long as it did to wear the guy out. They've obviously been going at it since before Levi walked into the house the first time. It's surprising that older fellow had that much stamina.
Vena must be tired, too. Clearly why he's having Levi uncap the bottle for him.
"I am pleased. It's exhausting being followed around all day by a man vying for my attention. Especially when there are so many others who want it as well." As the host of the party, everyone wants at least a piece of Vena's attention. As the resident incubus, plenty of people want more than that. The older man isn't the only one here whose bed Vena's been in. He's not been with them or around them enough to establish himself as the centre of their world yet, though. Unlike the older man, they don't need to be with Vena, they'd just like to be again.
Vena looks down at the uncapped bottle of water then back up at the attractive young man. Apparently Vena simply not wanting to do something works in his favour in more ways than one. He doesn't have to do what he doesn't feel like doing, and it makes him appear more human. Though he's not trying terribly hard to hide his demonic nature, it's not something he advertises either. So if the human would like to think of the poor, petite host as tired, so be it.
Oh, Levi's sure there are more than a few guests at a party like this who want something beside their pretty host's attention.
He stops fussing with the boxes (all labeled and arranged in neat rows) and moves a little closer to where Vena's sitting. As he's not a guest, he doesn't dare pull up a seat; instead he just leans down, something conspiratorial in his expression.
"Now, I've never been to a party like this before — as a guest, that is! — but I'm pretty sure you're still allowed to choose whose company you want and don't want." Enjoy that helpful hint, Vena.
Vena takes a third and final bite of the grilled cheese (though it still looks like it barely been touched) before setting it back in the box and sliding the box away from him. This time when he holds out his hand toward Levi, it's for a napkin so he can clear away the crumbs on his fingers.
"Of course I can choose whose company I want and don't want." That was a very helpful hint, thank you Levi. "He's not the only one I've been with today, but I've rarely been with anyone else without him." Of course he has his reasons for allowing the man to encroach on so much of his time. There are reasons why he's giving the man so much of his time in order to kill him instead of just waiting for him to die of old age like he might have otherwise. "There's an added level of difficulty to shooing someone away when you're already being fucked by someone else." Not that much difficulty, honestly. Truthfully, his complaints are just a way for him to brag about his own popularity. Though it really does become exhausting sometimes to have people chasing after him like puppies just because they fucked a few times, there are other instances like this one where he revels in it.
Vena's reasons are all around them. Literally. The house, the property, everything in it. It would make more sense if Levi had any idea Vena's playing the role of a black widow. The number of things this boy doesn't know are adding up quickly.
Levi looks around to find the napkins and hands one to Vena. "I'm sure your guests would be very impressed." Levi, however, not so much. "Maybe you've earned a rest."
A lot of things would make a lot more sense if Levi had any information at all. Though Vena talks of wanting to shoo the older man away, there's a reason why he didn't try terribly hard. There's a reason why Vena's been dedicating much of his time to him. Often enough, he will simply wait for his victim to die and then collect all that they willed to him, but he doesn't want to wait this time. He's going out of his way to kill this one. He wants this home and all that comes with it, except for the man. It would make more sense of Levi had any idea.
Vena takes the napkin and cleans off his hand, then takes another small sip from his bottle of water. "That's why I'm here. I'm resting." He's here for Levi. He doesn't need to rest.
Maybe it's for the best. At least for now. If Vena can keep him around long enough, he may learn more, but only if he's in a place where the truth isn't so likely to scare him off. He's not interested in chasing away people before he's good and ready to.
"A good host should remain available for his guests."
"After, then." He can't imagine someone* of Vena's size won't be feeling some aches and pains after a night like he's described. It's not really Levi's place to offer advice, so he'll understand if Vena brushes it off. He's just hired help for the party, after all.
"I mean, it's up to you, of course." Vena's grown and very clearly in charge of his own life. Maybe Levi's just a little bit of a mother hen.
Dear Levi, you will surely exhaust yourself trying to mother hen someone like Vena. And potentially worry yourself sick. Vena is far more resilient than he appears. And he's not in the habit of doing things differently just to assuage the worries of others. Don't waste your time, dear Levi.
"Of course it is," Vena says as he once again stretches his arm across the bar, laying his head on top of it. He tips his head up a little toward Levi, even though he closes his eyes. He can still feel the young man there though and that's enough for him. For now. "You seem rather accustomed to catering to parties like mine. Most catering companies are much more sex averse. And yet you openly advertise it." He's impressed, actually. So many humans have so many hangups about sex. Outwardly, at least, sine his orgy tells a different story. Are you simply more open than others? Or do you get off on getting paid to watch everyone around you fuck each other?" He opens his eyes and lifts his head to look at Levi. "Be honest. I don't judge." That's a lie. Vena is very judgmental but not in cases like these.
"Well," Levi began, drawing the word out in thought. "I guy I met in culinary school used to joke about it being an untapped market. One night we got a little drunk and started really thinking about it. You know, sanitary issue and stuff. He knew my goal wasn't a restaurant, but a food truck business and he thought it would be perfect because, poof," Levi lifts his fists and then opens his fingers as he says 'poof.'
"No more sanitary issues."
There's something intense about Vena's eyes staring at him, even if they're heavily lidded and read (to him) as sleepy. "This," another gesture, motioning vaguely to what's going on all around them. "Isn't something I'd do. I'm not going to judge all these people though. They're all adults. I'm not the kind to catastrophize and worry about the what-ifs and all the possible bad outcomes. To me, this isn't much different than people who go to a night club or sit around someone's table rolling dice while pretending to be someone else. They're all just doing something that's fun to them."
Oh, he didn't realize there would be an entire story involved but it's almost endearing, the way he talks about it. He lays his head back down onto his arm, eyes remaining on the human the entire time. Though not often a word he would use to describe someone he's taking a particular interest in, it's a little cute how animated Levi gets as he talks of the origins of his food truck and the list of events he'll work. His eyes move to follow Levi's hands up, watching the way he gestures and opens his fingers, wandering so slowly back down to his face soon after. He really is quite nice to look at, isn't he?
"I suppose that means you'll be my caterer of choice for the foreseeable future. Lucky you." It'll take some of the guesswork out of choosing some sort of food for his events. His guests seemed to enjoy Levi's food well enough (though feeding his guests a lot of diary in the middle of their day of vigorous sex could spell disaster. Should anything untoward come of it, Levi can expect to get Vena's cleaning bill) and Vena enjoys Levi, even if he hasn't had the opportunity to try him yet.
Another perk of having Levi cater more of his events, of course, is exposing him to more of the incubus' allure. Expose him to more of that power that humans are often so weak against.
"Have you never been curious about something like this?" he asks, blindly gesturing behind himself with his free hand.
He won't mind the business. Although... Maybe he'll come up with a less dairy heavy menu for Vena's events. He's sure he can thing of something a little more, uh, activity-friendly. Of course, he'll discuss the matter with Vena before. Maybe he and his guests like the dairy centered options.
Just to be polite, Levi turns to look around, pointedly up, above any humanly possible action. "Not really. I'm not really a casual sex sort of guy, so something like this never really appealed to me. I'm kinda hung up on monogamy. Don't laugh."
At least some less dairy heavy options. Judging by the missing boxed meals, the guests have been enjoying what's here (round of applause for Vena, who did not exactly choose this truck based on food. He chose it mostly based on the fact that it openly advertises that it caters to orgies) and even Vena didn't hate the few bites of the grilled cheese he had. Though what Vena eats really has no bearing on just how soon or how much sex he can have after a meal. The inner workings on his body only look human.
Though if he and Levi are going to have an actual discussion about additions to the food truck's menu, Vena may have to bring in someone else to help with the decision making. Someone who knows a little more about food than he does. Su-jin, perhaps? He was human once, wasn't he? Some centuries ago?
Vena turns to look as well, though he makes a point to look at every pair or group of writhing bodies he can see. Delicious. "A shame. Your next partner could be right here somewhere in my home." Future home. "They're just waiting for a strapping young food truck boy to come along and fuck them to make them realize they want to give up their whoring ways for him." Vena turns back to look at Levi, getting up on his knees on the seat to make himself a little taller, to bring him a little closer to eye level with the food boy. "Or is getting fucked more to your taste?"
Su-jin would be a poor choice, Vena. He doesn't need to eat human food either, but he does it to appear more normal in their company. He's not really any sort of expert on that matter, Vena, but he might know someone who can assist.
The conversation turns more awkwardly personal than Levi expects and all he can do is laugh nervously. "I'm not sure that's the sort of foundation I'd want a relationship based on." Pointedly ignoring Vena's question about preference, thanks.
He doesn't now but he might've at one point! Su-jin may have enjoyed a human meal once upon a time, a very long time ago. Either way, he will defer to Su-jin in the end. He often does. There are plenty of humans he knows who eat human food and would - in theory - be able to come up with a menu with the food boy, but many of Vena's people have become yes men. The humans who spend too much time in his orbit start to do whatever they think they must to please him. Or they'll ask him what he prefers before making an decisions and that sort of defeats the whole point. Besides, what he prefers is already on the menu. Unfortunately, the humans can't be sustained by sexual energy with a side of semen. Poor things.
Still sitting on his knees, Vena bends down to rest his elbows on the top of the bar, chin resting in his hands. "That's a little close-minded of you, don't you think?"
