A lot of things would make a lot more sense if Levi had any information at all. Though Vena talks of wanting to shoo the older man away, there's a reason why he didn't try terribly hard. There's a reason why Vena's been dedicating much of his time to him. Often enough, he will simply wait for his victim to die and then collect all that they willed to him, but he doesn't want to wait this time. He's going out of his way to kill this one. He wants this home and all that comes with it, except for the man. It would make more sense of Levi had any idea.

Vena takes the napkin and cleans off his hand, then takes another small sip from his bottle of water. "That's why I'm here. I'm resting." He's here for Levi. He doesn't need to rest.
